Education: Louisiana State University at Baton Rouge (B. A., History, 1986), Tulane University Law School of Louisiana (J. D., 1989; senior law student in the Tulane Law Clinic).
Military: Captain in Judge Advocate General Corps, U. S. Army Reserves, former aide to a 2-Star General; recently returned veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom as Camp JAG Forward on the General's Staff in Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan; Recipient, 2003, The Army Commendation Medal and Certificate of Wartime Service; lecturer on troop preparation on Rules of Combat and the Geneva Conventions, as well as assisting soldiers on active duty regarding wills, family law, powers of attorney and military contracts.
